Easter!!!

Who says you can get to old for Easter? Although this was the first year of no Easter baskets the kids still humored their Mother and decorated some eggs for me. It is amazing to see how unique each one was. Cal and Josh both came to church this morning and were able to be there for the branch picture. We took a picture of everyone after sacrament for the first picture in the new building. Matt got everyone organized and took the picture. Add another one to history. After church Cal and Caris went to her Grandma's house and the rest of us ate lunch. The only mishap was when we took out the rolls the glass pan holding them shattered. Luckily I had made two pans. The kids and I played Scattegories after dinner and YES I was the winner!!! My writing skills are still in tact! After naps, Cal and Caris came back over and we had dessert. I am so thankful for my family both near and far. Happy Easter Family!

Happy Birthday to Shelby!

Tonight was Shelby's birthday dinner. We had fresh fish that Dylan caught this weekend at Horseshoe. YUM! The highlights of dinner were when Dylan put 18 candles on Shelby's little cupcake (We all had cheesecake). Then Dad decided that he was the man to light it. When I was trying to take a picture of her blowing out the candles Matt kept putting in the bowl of fish. After dinner we played a game of Apples to Apples and guess what Dylan won!!! It is hard to believe that my baby is 18. Where does time go?

Day 6 of Spring Break.

Yes, it is almost over and here I sit home alone. Dylan is still at the Gulf. It's crazy how much I miss an annoying 14 year old. He is so much like his Mother- he drives me crazy one minute and makes me laugh till tears the next. Matt has gone to a store somewhere for nutrition. My forzen dinner of stir fry was not enough to make him happy so he is off somewhere obtaining meat. Shelby has just left to go to Joshua's house. He is back from West Virgina and Shelby wants to go see him. So here I sit watching the Best Two Years- thinking I need to go outside and wash my car. Spring Break is just like birthdays- the older you get they just don't mean as much and are definatly not as much fun!!!!

Here is a picture from when our class watched the Joseph Smith story. It is amazing to think my first year of seminary is winding down. It has flown by. I am already getting excited for next year. The challenge of lighting a fire for the gospel in my Dylan's heart (Not to mention about 15 others. : >)
